From prison to deportation: What awaits immigration fraudster Yury Mosha?

Yury Mosha was convicted of immigration fraud a year ago, in June 2023. He was sentenced to ten months in prison for assisting in creating fake cases for asylum seekers in the USA.

Since January 5, 2024, this immigration fraudster has been in custody, specifically in prison serving the sentence he received for immigration fraud.

After the sentencing, Mosha received a six-month reprieve, so at the very beginning of the new year, he arrived at Allenwood Low FCI, located in Pennsylvania, where he was supposed to stay until November 5, 2024.

Soon after Mosha began serving his sentence, his release date was changed to October 22. Then to September 16 and, at the beginning of July, to August 22, 2024. It seems that Yury Mosha conducted himself impeccably, striving to earn forgiveness and gain freedom as soon as possible.

He almost succeeded. A week before August 22, his release date on the Federal Bureau of Prisons website was changed to "unknown date." And on the morning of August 23, Yury’s details appeared on the ICE website: he was transferred to one of the detention or temporary holding centers in Pennsylvania. Typically, this means only one thing: preparation for deportation.

Two of Yury Mosha’s minor children are US citizens by birth; however, this apparently won’t help him stay in the country.
