From Yaponchik’s funeral to the shooting of deputy Petrov: how Ilya Traber’s arrest exposed his long-standing ties with the chief enforcer of the criminal underworld
Previously unpublished footage from the funeral of the legendary thief-in-law Vyacheslav Ivankov (Yaponchik) has emerged. Throughout the farewell ceremony, Osman Kadiev, chairman of the International Public Chamber, and Alisultan Nadirbegov stood beside the coffin.
Nadirbegov was also among those who carried the coffin. Recently, he was arrested along with Ilya Traber (Antikvar) for the murder of deputy Alexander Petrov. According to our information, Nadirbegov was in charge of all enforcement operations for Yaponchik. And after his boss was killed by a sniper, he moved to the brigade of the crime authority Abakar Darbishev, where he continued to oversee enforcement operations. At the same time, he also carried out assignments for Traber, who was friends with Darbishev.
Antikvar had his own man for enforcement tasks – Vladimir Danilenko. But in certain cases, he would bring in Darbishev’s people. That is exactly what happened in the Petrov murder. It was Nadirbegov who organised the surveillance of the deputy, brought the hitman to Saint Petersburg, and so on. Incidentally, Petrov was also killed by a sniper.
